Principal's Message

Welcome to Londonderry Elementary School! 

Whether you made your way here as a parent, a caregiver, or a community friend, we are glad you have found our virtual home. The staff and students of Londonderry Elementary make our halls a special place to learn and grow each day.

As the school song below highlights, we are Londonderry Proud! We have long tradition of being a community school. The staff, parents, and organizations within our school community work together to ensure a meaningful school experience for every child. We achieve this goal by focusing on supporting the growth, development, and well-being of each child that enters our doorway each day. The staff works tirelessly to establish meaningful learning opportunities for students and to provide a safe and supportive environment. Some core programs at Londonderry include our structured literacy instructional transition, the Falcon Families mentoring program, the Little Readers program, and our elementary student assistance team. Londonderry Elementary is also a Title I designated school, allowing us to provide additional reading support for our students and staff.

We need your help! Meeting our daily goal of providing a safe and productive learning environment for each student requires our parents, caregivers, and community partners. Together, we are stronger. Our teachers each use Class Dojo to connect with families, so I encourage you to be active in that space to stay up-to-date with class news and updates. Our PTO is active in supporting the students through programming and special events. I encourage you to consider joining us for a PTO meeting or providing help at one of their many events. Our students perform several times throughout the year. I encourage you to join us for a concert or an evening celebration.

At the end of each schoolwide event, our students and staff join together to sing "Londonderry Proud." Written by a former Londonderry staff member, the song is a unifying anthem for our school community about the values that define the traditions of our school. I encourage you to listen to the song and join us in continuing our tradition of being Londonderry Proud!
