Classroom Expectations

Clip Chart Procedures

There is a behavior clip chart hanging in our classroom. Each student will have clothespin with their name on it. Every student begins on “Ready to Learn” at the start of every day. As our day proceeds, the students’ behavior dictates whether they will move up the chart and earn rewards or move down the chart and face a consequence.

7- Outstanding- Exemplary behaviors

6- Great Choices- Great choices throughout the day

5- Good Choices- Good choices throughout the day

4- Ready to Learn- All students begin here every day. Each day is a fresh start.

3- Warning- One warning was given, but still have the chance to move back up.

2- Consequence- More than one warning for inappropriate behaviors. 5 minutes of recess is owed.

1-Office & Parent Contact- Severe behaviors that will yield a phone call home. 10 minutes of recess is owed.

The gray communication folder will come home every night and need to be initialed by a parent or guardian indicating that you saw what number your child ended the day on.
